Mutual exchange

Introduction

We're helping tenants on our waiting list make the move by matching their homes with others suitable for mutual exchange.

By signing up to our Mutual Exchange Scheme, over 3300 tenants on our housing transfer list can use our new online property programme to find their perfect property match.

To get your search started you will need to enter your property details. Once you log on you can search for any suitable matches. Tenants of Registered Social Landlords can also access the system too and look for a property that will suit their housing needs and circumstances.

Our site is secure and all information is protected. You have the option to allow your personal details to be displayed, or can opt to be contacted via the landlord.

Permission must always be granted by housing services before any exchange can take place. If a you are not comfortable about approaching someone to discuss mutual exchange our housing staff are happy to act as intermediaries.

To find out more information on how to register and access the scheme please contact your local housing office. Our trained staff will be able to guide you through the simple process.

We will continue to monitor the scheme and look at ways to expand its future development. We will talk to those using it to learn what's working and what's not.

Our staff have received training on the system to help match up tenants during the exchange process.
