Search, or request a search for replacement documents and drawings relating to planning applications

You can search for planning applications, appeals and enforcement notices, back to April 1996; including plans, decisions and supporting documents submitted since January 2009 here:

To request we carry out a search of our records on your behalf, or if you require information prior to these dates, you must email or write to us with your request.

Please provide the following information with your written request:

  • The pdf icon relevant fee [203kb]
  • Your email address and telephone number
  • The address of the property you require information on
  • Details of the work that was carried out (i.e. initial build or subsequent works)
  • The date, or approximate date, when the work that you were interested in was carried out
  • The documents you are looking for (e.g. copies of planning permission or drawings) 

Only on receipt of the emailed or written request and all the information above, can we carry out a search of our records.

Please note:

  • We aim to provide copy documents and drawings within four weeks, however timescales may vary. In some instances providing copies may take longer.
  • We may be unable to provide information on work exceeding 25 years old.
  • The search fee paid is not refundable if we are unable to provide copies.
