Young artists from schools across North Lanarkshire have brought festive cheer to the council’s annual Christmas card competition, impressing judges with bright colours, big imagination and plenty of seasonal spirit.

Motherwell is set for a major boost as Forgewood, North Motherwell and the town centre neighbourhood will benefit from £20 million of funding and support over the next decade through the UK Government’s Pride in Place Programme.

Talented pupils from across North Lanarkshire came together at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall for the annual Schools Christmas Concert, organised by the North Lanarkshire Instrumental Music Service.

Lanarkshire proudly hosted one of only 15 'Together at Christmas' Community Carol Services taking place across the UK this festive season, and one of just three held in Scotland.
