North Lanarkshire’s economy continues to show strong growth with more than two million sq ft of industrial and office space sold or leased during 2025/6.
The area’s prime location, available development land and premises, and skilled workforce has has resulted in more than 100 land and premise transactions in the past year, including by businesses seeking to locate and invest here.
Global manufacturing business Ion Beam Services relocated from West Lothian to Newhouse, investing £3million and creating 30 jobs. The company researches, develops and produces components and servers for the micro electronics industry.
Ritchie Precision Engineering has moved into two units at Link Park, Eurocentral after moving from Livingston. The company has invested £4.6 million into the site which employs 40 people. The units were developed by Fusion Assets, North Lanarkshire Council’s arms-length regeneration development company.
Victor Pizza Ltd has invested £3m in their new manufacturing and production facility in Coatbridge, bringing around 50 jobs to the area from Glasgow.
A total of 305,000 sq ft of new industrial and logistics space is being developed at Eurocentral and Shawhead Point. The developments are being delivered by Manse LLP and J Smart & Co at Eurocentral (200,000 sq ft), and by Wemyss Properties and Westerwood Properties at Shawhead Point (105,000 sq ft).
Cicely Commercials has purchased 4.75 acres of land at Eurocentral and is constructing a purpose-built Mercedes-Benz Truck and Bus dealership. The £8 million investment will create 40 jobs.
Knight Property Group have acquired a 143,700 sq ft industrial facility known as The Big Blue Shed in Bellshill Industrial Estate. The firm, who developed and sold Belgrave Logistics Park in 2024, plans to renovate and rename the six-acre site before releasing it to the market later this year.
