A community cycling hub, a bridge spanning Strathclyde Loch, a residential outdoor centre, plans to generate renewable energy, and a major attraction based around play are some of the ambitious plans for country parks in North Lanarkshire.

ScotRail, North Lanarkshire Council, Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT), and Transport Scotland have teamed up to create a gateway to the Glasgow City Region at Motherwell station. (June 2020)

Plans are being developed for a waste management facility at the former landfill site at Dalmacoulter, Airdrie.

We are working with Abellio ScotRail Ltd and Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) on plans for an improved transport interchange at Motherwell railway station. (November 2017)

Cumbernauld Green Route

Work has started on a new Green Route allowing people to walk and cycle across Cumbernauld.
