St Patrick’s Primary School in Kilsyth has been awarded the SportScotland Gold Sports Award.

Excitement is building for this year’s North Lanarkshire Half Marathon after a new sponsorship partnership was announced with Specsavers.

A memorial plaque celebrating the life and legacy of Sydney Devine has been unveiled outside Cleland Primary School, bringing together pupils, family, fans and members of the local community to honour one of Scotland’s most popular performers.

At its budget meeting last week, the council agreed to invest a further £200,000 in cost-of-living support in a bid to tackle poverty across the authority.

Work to build the new St Stephen’s Community Hub in Coatbridge is making good progress and is on track to open later this year.
