North Lanarkshire’s Cultural Committee is inviting people to join in the celebrations for Black History Month at Jerviston Community Centre on Saturday 4 October 2025, from 10:30am to 3:00pm.

The event promises a lively and welcoming atmosphere, with live entertainment, children’s activities, and delicious food from a variety of cultures.

It’s a chance for the whole community to come together, learn, and celebrate the rich contributions of ethnic minority communities to society.

Councillor Ayeshah Khan, North Lanarkshire’s Equalities Champion, said: “Black History Month is a time to honour the achievements, culture and history of ethnic minority communities.

“Events like this help us build understanding and celebrate the diversity that makes North Lanarkshire stronger.”

Everyone is welcome, and entry is free. To register, please visit: Black History Month North Lanarkshire, 4th October 2025
