The very best of community spirit was on show at this year’s Provost Awards, as individuals and groups were recognised for their dedication, kindness, and commitment to others.
Held at Dalziel Park on Friday 12 September, the awards brought together nominees, families, and community representatives for a special afternoon of celebration.
From grassroots volunteers and local groups to young people and lifetime achievers, the event highlighted the incredible efforts that make a real difference in people’s lives every day.
Provost Kenneth Duffy said: “These awards are all about people, individuals and groups who give their time, energy, and heart to make life better for others. Today has been a reminder of just how much passion and commitment there is right across North Lanarkshire.
“Every nominee and winner has shown what’s possible when communities come together, and it’s a privilege to recognise their efforts.
“A special thank you also goes to this year’s sponsors - Mears, Commsworld and Clyde & Co, whose support helped make the celebration possible, and to our fantastic host on the day, former Britain’s Got Talent star Edward Reid for making it such an enjoyable occasion.”
The Provost Awards shine a spotlight on unsung heroes across nine community board areas, as well as recognising achievement through a special North Lanarkshire-wide award.
We will be posting all the winners pictures on our Flickr page in the coming days and a link will be added to this page.
