Get ready for a magical day of festive cheer on Saturday, 14 December, when Coatbridge hosts a Christmas festival.

With activities and entertainment for all ages, it’s the perfect way to get into the festive spirit.

The free event, organised by the Coatbridge Town Board, will feature live entertainment on Main Street between 2:45 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Locals are encouraged to join the fun; the festivities kick off with a live stage event hosted by Heart Radio presenter David Farrell.

Highlights of the day include live performances, such as music from Abba Dream and talented local acts.

Christmas lights and a giant snow globe will offer magical photo opportunities (open from noon).

You can also participate in activities to win exciting prizes. Also, keep an eye out for a special guest visitor—ho ho ho!

Summerlee Museum will also offer family activities, with free activities to keep everyone entertained between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Activities include Christmas crafts, where you can get creative with festive DIY projects. You can also burn off some energy with fun games and activities.

There will be storytelling sessions with captivating Christmas tales and festive movies—the first showing will take place at 10:30 a.m.

An exciting opportunity exists to embark on a holiday-themed adventure around the museum by participating in the scavenger hunt.

The Summerlee activities and the Main Street Party are free, making it an unmissable day for the whole family.

Mark your calendars and come along for a day of Christmas magic in Coatbridge.
