Community and voluntary organisations across North Lanarkshire are set to benefit from this year’s Grant Awards Programme (GAP).
The awards will help to support 59 local projects and services delivered across all nine Community Board areas.
This year’s programme received 78 applications, including 18 first-time applicants, with requests totalling more than £671,000.
A total of £423,904.59 was allocated to support high‑quality projects that directly contribute to local priorities, including mental health and wellbeing, tackling poverty, digital inclusion, community participation, and improved outcomes for children and young people.
Funding will support a diverse range of local initiatives, including youth engagement programmes, food and financial insecurity support, environmental improvements, wellbeing activities, and targeted projects for vulnerable groups.
Councillor Geraldine Woods, Convener of Communities, said: “It’s great that we can support so many outstanding community organisations through this year’s Grant Awards Programme.
“The quality of applications continues to grow, showing just how committed and innovative our local groups are in delivering services that make a real difference to people’s lives every single day.
“Through their work these organisations support wellbeing, tackles inequality, builds confidence, and creates opportunities for residents of all ages.
“I want to extend my sincere thanks to every group that applied and to congratulate those receiving funding this year.”
The allocations are subject to budget approval at the end of February 2026.
