Lanarkshire’s first-ever Business Month will launch this October, bringing together an exciting programme of events, workshops and networking opportunities designed to support businesses at every stage of their journey.
Running from Monday 5 October to Friday 30 October, Lanarkshire Business Month will showcase the extensive range of support available to businesses across the region, whether they are starting up, looking to grow, or considering relocating to Lanarkshire.
Hosted by North Lanarkshire Council, South Lanarkshire Council, Business Gateway Lanarkshire and a range of public and private sector partners, the month-long programme aims to connect businesses with experts, resources and opportunities that can help them thrive.
The initiative officially launches with the Meet the Lanarkshire Consultant event, hosted by Business Gateway Lanarkshire and both councils.
Jaz Gharra-McBeth, Enterprise Development Manager at Business Gateway Lanarkshire, said: "Lanarkshire Business Month is all about creating opportunities for businesses, so it's fitting that we kick off the programme with Meet the Lanarkshire Consultant.
"This launch event is a chance for businesses to expand their networks, learn what fully funded support is on offer, and meet the experts who can support their businesses. We're looking forward to welcoming businesses from across Lanarkshire and starting a month that showcases everything the region has to offer businesses."
Throughout October, businesses will have access to a diverse programme of activities delivered by a wide range of partners, covering topics including business growth, innovation, skills development, networking and investment opportunities.
The month culminates in a celebration of the achievements and successes of Lanarkshire businesses and organisations at the Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards Dinner. Winners of this year's awards will be revealed at the prestigious gala dinner on 30 October.
Businesses and organisations hosting events during Lanarkshire Business Month are encouraged to get involved and help build momentum behind the campaign.
