Lanarkshire's first-ever Business Month is now underway, with businesses across the region already taking advantage of an exciting programme of events designed to inspire growth, innovation and collaboration.
Running throughout October, Lanarkshire Business Month brings together a packed calendar of workshops, networking events, seminars and business support activities aimed at helping companies of all sizes start, grow and thrive.
Delivered by North and South Lanarkshire Councils, Business Gateway Lanarkshire and a wide range of public and private sector partners, the month-long initiative highlights the wealth of support, expertise and opportunities available to businesses across the region.
Councillor Alex McVey, Convener of the Enterprise and Fair Work Committee at North Lanarkshire Council, said: “Lanarkshire Business Month is an excellent opportunity to showcase the range of support available to businesses in the area whether they are in the early stages of their business or looking to grow and diversify.
“Through a wide range of exciting events, we’re looking forward to connecting businesses with the expertise, resources and networks that can help them start, grow and succeed.
“We encourage businesses from across Lanarkshire to get involved and make the most of the programme of events and opportunities on offer.”
Throughout October, businesses will have access to a diverse programme of activities delivered by a wide range of partners, covering topics including business growth, innovation, skills development, networking and investment opportunities.
Lanarkshire Business Month will culminate in a celebration of the region's vibrant business community at the prestigious Lanarkshire Business Excellence Awards Dinner on Friday 30 October. One of the longest running business awards, the Lanarkshire awards recognise outstanding achievements across a range of sectors, with winners of each category announced during a special gala evening. Tickets are still available.
Businesses and organisations hosting events during Lanarkshire Business Month are encouraged to join the campaign and help showcase the breadth of activity taking place across the region.
