Positive report for Coatbridge nursery

HM Inspectors of Education visited the nursery, spoke to parents and carers and worked closely with the manager and staff to review the services provided.

Their report highlighted a number of strengths:

• The well-respected manager and staff, who form positive, nurturing and inclusive relationships with children and their families. As a result, children are happy, kind and friendly. 
• Staff who develop effective processes to support children’s transitions throughout their nursery journey. This supports very well children’s wellbeing and helps them to settle quickly and confidently. 
• Children benefit from a well-considered outdoor environment. They enjoy exploring, investigating and being active.

The inspectors rated the curriculum and the learning, teaching and assessment as good and well-being, inclusion and equality as very good. 

“Congratulations to everyone at Manor Park Nursery on this very positive inspection report,” said Councillor Anne McCrory, Vice Convener of the Education, Children and Families Committee.

“The report reflects the commitment of the manager and staff to deliver quality pre-school learning and care for the children.”

We are particularly proud that inspectors highlighted our very good practice, when supporting children’s wellbeing, inclusion and equality, recognising the positive relationships between our staff, children and families.

Inspectors also recognised our outdoor learning environment and experiences, as a real strength, where children enjoy gardening, exploring nature, role play and developing their independence.”
