Residents and businesses in Coatbridge are invited to complete an online survey giving their views on areas for investment in the town.
The survey builds on community consultation carried out last summer by Coatbridge Neighbourhood Board supported by the council to inform production of a Regeneration Plan for Coatbridge
Coatbridge has been awarded £19.5m in UK Government funding over a ten-year period to develop and deliver a long-term vision for its regeneration.
The Neighbourhood Board was set up to oversee development and delivery of the Regeneration Plan; it includes an independent chairperson, representation from local business and community organisations as well as a representative from Police Scotland, an MP and MSP, and two local elected members.
A key part of the plan is the investment priorities identified by local people in the last consultation: more opportunities for young people; invest in what we have; and a safe and friendly town centre.
The survey, which runs until 29 August, asks for feedback on these three priorities.
It is available at Plan for Neighbourhoods - Coatbridge | North Lanarkshire Council.
A QR code linking to the survey will also be displayed in locations around the town including Summerlee Museum of Scottish Industrial Life, the Time Capsule, Coatbridge Library and community centres.
Feedback from the survey will inform the Regeneration Plan and a four-year investment plan, which will then be submitted to the UK Government in the autumn for their assessment and approval.
