Council tenants are being encouraged to provide their views on the quality of the housing services they receive as part of our tenant satisfaction survey. During July and August, tenants are being randomly selected to take part in the telephone survey and will receive a letter in advance of this.

Trained independent researchers - Research Resource – will be conducting the survey and asking tenants a range of questions to gauge how satisfied they are with the housing services they receive.

We carried out our last survey in 2018 and responses showed an increase in satisfaction levels with the overall service provided from 85.3% to 91%. This figure compared very favourably with the Scottish local authority average of 82.10%.

Responses to our survey allows us to improve our services and shape future ones to ensure they meet the needs and aspirations of our tenants.

Councillor Heather Brannan-McVey, Convener of Housing and Regeneration, said: “It’s really important, that if you’re selected, you have your say and tell us about your experience of our housing services.

“Whether it’s in response to our repairs services, opportunities to get involved in consultation events or the management of our neighbourhoods, we want to hear from you. Your views matter and help us plan future services to ensure our tenants remain at the heart of these.”

We respond to suggestions to improve our services. For example, in our last survey, you said you wanted increased local opportunities to get involved. In response to this, we changed the format of our annual tenant conference to deliver two events, and launched more events at a local level, eg consultation cafes and pop up events. You also told us you wanted to be more involved in decision making. We’ve increased the number of people involved in tenant participation with more tenants taking part in a wide range of topics and having a real impact on service delivery.

The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete and all feedback from people and their households will remain completely confidential.
