Brief overview of proposed change(s) to premises licence

Change to Layout Plan:

• Part removal of the partition wall next to customer toilets to create an extension to the restaurant area resulting in an increase in capacity from 120 to 200. 

 Change to Operating Plan:

• Q5 - Extra information outwith core hours to add “Dance facilities and live performances may take place prior to core hours”

Brief overview of the nature of the business proposed to be carried out on the premises

• Spanish style restaurant on two floors selling restaurant meals, soft drinks, coffees and alcohol situated in Airdrie Town Centre.
• The premise may open prior to core hours for breakfasts/coffees etc but no alcohol will be sold out with core hours granted by North Lanarkshire Council.
• The outdoor drinking area may be used prior to core hours but only for non-alcoholic drinks.
• Home deliveries.
• On sale capacity 78 (70 internally on both floors an 8 external area).
• Off sales capacity – 5.5m².

The premises is the ground floor commercial premises only;

Recorded background music may be played before and within core hours;

The sale of tobacco, food, non-food, and other household goods, food to go and the provision on ancillary services within and before core licensed hours;

The home delivery of food and alcohol;

Post office services;

Parcel collection services; and

Off sale alcohol capacity 16.84m²

      Layout Plan

• Reconfiguration of premises layout.

• Addition of ‘Karaoke Pod’ to the right of the main entrance beside the ‘Games Area’

• Addition of Darts Area to the right of the ‘Games Area’ 

       Operating Plan

• Amend terminal hour on a Saturday to 1:00am 

• Q5(b) Add receptions within and outwith core licensed hours 

• 5(e) delete existing text and replace with: Activities may take place outwith core licensed hours(as indicated in column 4) where additional licensed hours are permitted either (a) Seasonally (In terms of the answer to question 4) (Extended hours applications for festive period are required to be applied for); or (b) by virtue of an extension of hours granted in terms of sections 67 or 68 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. 

   

  Otherwise, the following activities will take place without the sale of alcohol:

  • Restaurant Facilities/Bar Meals, Receptions, Club/Group Meetings, Recorded background music, bowling and games facilities, indoor/outdoor sports, televised sports, provision of non-alcoholic drinks 

• Q5(f) Delete existing text and replace with: Bowling and games facilities, occasional quiz nights, karaoke, darts (all forms).

Low Level background music while premises is occupied
