Langloan is taking a bold step forward to create a safer, more vibrant environment for its youngest residents and families. With local facilities currently unavailable and the running track closed to public access, families have lacked a safe, welcoming space to gather and play.
While West End Park is nearby, crossing a major road can make it difficult for children to access safely. That’s why the local Tenants and Residents Group, with support from the Community Partnership Team and Local Development Programme funding stepped up to create outdoor spaces the whole community can be proud of. The completed space features:
- goalposts for informal kickabouts and pull-up/roll-over bars for kids to tumble and play freely.
- a colourful, welcoming area with benches and planters, designed to bring people together and brighten the neighbourhood.
