As part of the Kilsyth and Villages Local Outcome Improvement Plan priority of the Food and Financial Insecurity sub-group, the Community Partnership Officer worked with the school to engage with the schools to identify what specific issues they have identified in the school, and which organisations would be best to attend to engage with the parents and carers in their specific school. We attended the following schools between September and November 2025 - Holy cross Primary School, St Patrick's Primary School and Chapelgreen Primary School.
These events provided an opportunity to engage with parents across the Kilsyth and villages. Parent and carers were able to speak directly to organisations which could provide one to one advice and support directly to discuss issues which are important to their family life and situations. We engage with between 60 and 80 people at each event and distributed 50 soups packs and free period products at each event.
