Pride in Place - Motherwell

Forgewood, North Motherwell and Town Centre has been awarded up to £20 million in funding from the UK Government's Pride in Place Programme to develop and deliver a Pride in Place Plan, setting out a vision for the area over the next ten years.

North Lanarkshire Council is the accountable body for the Pride in Place Programme funding in Motherwell and we are working with the local MP to establish a Neighbourhood Board, which has responsibility for developing the Pride in Place Plan and overseeing its delivery through Investment Plans.

Further information on the Neighbourhood Board will be published here in due course. In line with UK Government guidance, board membership will be confirmed by July 2026.

A series of community consultation events will take place during 2026 to enable the development of the Pride in Place Plan and first Investment Plan. More information will be available here and across our social media channels, such as the 'My Motherwell' Facebook page, soon.
