Forgewood, North Motherwell and Town Centre has been awarded up to £20 million in funding from the UK Government's Pride in Place Programme to develop and deliver a Pride in Place Plan, setting out a vision for the area over the next ten years.
North Lanarkshire Council is the accountable body for the Pride in Place Programme funding in Motherwell and we are working with the local MP to establish a Neighbourhood Board, which has responsibility for developing the Pride in Place Plan and overseeing its delivery through Investment Plans.
The first step in this process is to appoint a Neighbourhood Board Chair, who will then work with us and the local MP to appoint board members.
Neighbourhood Board Chair - Expressions of Interest
We are now seeking Expressions of Interest for the role of Neighbourhood Board Chair, from committed individuals with connections to the area and the skills and attributes needed to successfully lead the Neighbourhood Board. Also, to work with North Lanarkshire Council as the accountable body for the Pride in Place funding.
If you think that this role might be for you, please refer to the role description and expression of interest form, and return to motherwellprideinplace@northlan.gov.uk by the deadline of 5pm on Thursday 12 March 2026.
