Challenge Fund

Where your local organisation can apply for funding to deliver activity as part of the North Lanarkshire UK Shared Prosperity Fund Programme.

Within the North Lanarkshire UKSPF Programme, several interventions will be delivered through a challenge fund approach.

This approach involves inviting proposals from organisations wishing to deliver activity as part of the UKSPF programme in North Lanarkshire. Proposals will be assessed against the objectives of the UKSPF, their contribution to local priorities and the outputs/outcomes of the relevant UKSPF intervention.

There are currently six interventions that have a challenge fund element to their delivery, each of which has set out criteria, minimum and maximum grant award levels and timescales for applications to be submitted:

  • Volunteering Support - this challenge fund was launched in October 2023. The first round of applications closed in December 2023. Keep an eye on this page for further updates.
  • Community Asset Fund - due to launch in April 2024 - see our Community Asset Fund for more information and to register your interest.
  • Digital Connectivity - Applications closed on 29th February 2024 - applicants will receive an outcome decision by 31st March 2024
  • Employability Fund - applications will be invited early 2024 from organisations that can provide qualifications and training for local residents to meet the needs of employers in key sectors.

We require to process personal data relating to the individuals who are submitting the grant applications on behalf of an organisation. This privacy statement provides more information on how we will use the data you provide to us.
