This week marks the start of Seachdain na Gàidhlig in Scotland. This is a great time to find out more about Gaelic Medium Education (GME) in North Lanarkshire. GME offers a supportive bilingual learning environment that helps children develop strong language skills and a deeper connection to Scotland’s culture.
The Gaelic Language (Scotland) Act 2005 was passed by the Scottish Parliament with a view to securing the status of the Gaelic language as an official language of Scotland commanding equal respect to the English language.
