Developing new Local Housing Strategy 2026-2028
North Lanarkshire Council is developing a new Local Housing Strategy for 2026-2028 and we want to hear from you.
This sets out our vision and priorities for housing in North Lanarkshire over the next two years – including how we meet the housing and related needs of residents now and in the future.

Why your views matter
Housing affects everyone, whether you rent or own your home, live in council or housing association housing, or are looking for your first place to live. We want the strategy to reflect the needs of people in our communities.
Your views will help us:
- Understand local housing challenges
- Plan for the right types of homes in the right places
- Improve the quality, affordability and accessibility of housing
- Make sure housing supports vibrant, sustainable, health and inclusive communities
