EALR consultation

EALR Stage 3 Consultation

The second EALR Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) begins.

We are further consulting on the updated route of the new road and we are asking your views.

This latest consultation is being carried out as part of the Pre-Application Notice (25/00593/PAN), which was submitted on 28 May 2025 and is the first stage in the process of applying for planning permission

We are running drop-in events where you can meet the project team and provide feedback on the current road proposal:

  • Caldervale High School - Thursday 2 October 2025 - 5pm to 7pm
  • Airdrie Library - Tuesday 7 October 2025 - 2pm to 7pm
  • Chapelhall Library - Thursday 9 October 2025 - 2pm to 7pm
  • Cumbernauld Library - Tuesday 21 October 2025 - 2pm to 7pm

Your opportunity to comment

Following our previous consultation in June 2025, we have considered the feedback received and made some updates to the design.

We are now providing another opportunity to comment on the project.

This further consultation will run from Thursday 25 September 2025 to Sunday 26 October 2025.

The comments you provide will inform the road design for the planning application.

See what we propose to do

You can see the updated design and our proposed route by viewing our StoryMap, which also includes an online feedback form so you can tell us what you think.

Using your phone

It's important to know that if you are looking at the StoryMap on your phone you should view it in portrait mode as that's how it's designed to be read.

You may also need to give the images a few moments to load, so please give it a bit of time.

Feedback

Following feedback from the online consultation and the public drop-in events, we will consider all feedback received.

This feedback will assist further development of the scheme, prior to submission of the planning application.

Previous engagement

You can find out more about Stage 3 and the previous engagement we have had on the proposed route.
