EALR consultation

EALR Stage 3 Consultation

The EALR Pre-Application Consultation (PAC) begins.

We are consulting on the updated route of the new road and we are asking your views.

This latest consultation is being carried out as part of the Pre-Application Notice (25/00593/PAN), which was submitted on 28 May 2025 and is the first stage in the process of applying for planning permission

We are running drop-in events where you can meet the project team and provide feedback on the current road proposal:

  • Airdrie Library – Tuesday 17 June 2025 – 2pm to 7pm
  • Chapelhall Library – Thursday 19 June 2025 – 2pm to 7pm
  • Cumbernauld Library – Tuesday 24 June 2025 - 2pm to 7pm

Your opportunity to comment

We are also be running an online consultation for eight weeks

This will run from Monday 16 June 2025 to Sunday 10 August 2025.

The comments you provide will inform the final road design for the planning application.

See what we propose to do

You can see the new design and our proposed route by viewing our StoryMap, which also includes an online feedback form so you can tell us what you think.

Using your phone

Its important to know, if you are looking at the StoryMap on your phone you should view it in portrait mode as that's how its designed to be read.

You may also need to give the images a few moments to load, so please give it a bit of time.

Feedback

Following feedback from the online consultation and the public drop-in events, we will consider all feedback received.

This feedback will assist further development of the scheme, and there will be a further consultation and opportunity to provide feedback in autumn 2025.

Previous engagement

You can find out more about Stage 3 and the previous engagement we did on the proposed route in November 2024 and the consultant working with us on the project.
