Pride in Place - Coatbridge

Coatbridge has been awarded £19.5m in funding from the UK Government's Pride in Place Programme to develop and deliver a Regeneration Plan for the town, setting out a vision for Coatbridge over the next ten years.

North Lanarkshire Council is the accountable body for this funding and we support the Coatbridge Neighbourhood Board, which has responsibility for developing the Regeneration Plan and overseeing its delivery through Investment Plans.

The Coatbridge Neighbourhood Board, established in April 2024 as Coatbridge Town Board, has overseen extensive engagement with people in Coatbridge and has developed the Regeneration Plan and initial four-year Investment Plan. These were submitted to UK Government in November 2025 and are awaiting approval.

Responses to a 2025 survey showed strong support from Coatbridge residents for the investment priorities.
