Following extensive engagement last year, with residents, businesses and community groups, we've developed a Regeneration Plan and associated four-year Investment Plan which we sought your views on.
The UK Government have now approved the Coatbridge Regeneration Plan and first four-year investment plan. This provides the green light for a first instalment of £6.6M Pride in Place Programme funding for Coatbridge over the next four years. The plans are available to download on this page.

We are supporting the Coatbridge Neighbourhood Board to deliver the programme. The board are planning to launch their own website soon where more information on the projects and how to get involved will be available.

Based on your feedback from consultation undertaken in 2024, three key priorities for Coatbridge have been identified and will be included within the Regeneration Plan for Coatbridge, which sets out the 10-year vision for the area.
By 2036, Coatbridge will be a more vibrant place with the town’s existing strengths enhanced. A place where people and local businesses can thrive:
The table below sets out what you told us during the 2024 consultation period and as a result, which projects Coatbridge Neighbourhood Board has included in the first Investment Plan which will cover the investment period 2026/27 - 2029/30.
The first Investment Plan will see around £5.3 million capital funding and £1.3 million revenue funding released from UK Government to Coatbridge, through North Lanarkshire Council.

Residents expressed a strong desire to revitalise Main Street and re-establish it as the heart of the town.
