Strategic Leadership Board

At a North Lanarkshire level, a Strategic Leadership Board is in place. This is to ensure that local communities have a strong voice in planning and delivering local services and to target partner agencies’ resources on a larger scale towards the delivery of the shared ambitions and The Plan for North Lanarkshire.

Membership of the Strategic Leadership Board comprises the chief executive officers and chairs of the key partner agencies.

Partnership working groups and locality groups are also in place to focus on particular issues and joint work within our local communities around locally determined priorities.

The board has also agreed a CommUnity Agreement.

NLP CommUnity Agreement

The Leadership Board has adopted The Plan for North Lanarkshire as its own strategy and Locality Plan. The community planning partners have also agreed to focus on climate change, mental health and community empowerment, as well as working jointly to support the development of town and community hubs.

It highlights progress in publishing and implementing our Local Outcomes Improvement Plans (LOIPs) and developing Locality Improvement Plans for communities experiencing significantly poorer outcomes.
