North Lanarkshire Local Development Plan: Participation Statement Survey

We have now started to prepare the next Local Development Plan (LDP) – North Lanarkshire Local Development Plan 2 (NLLDP2).

The LDP is an important document which sets out the policies and proposals for future land use and development in North Lanarkshire. For example, it will guide where new housing, business and infrastructure will be located.

The success of NLLDP2 depends on getting the public and a wide range of stakeholders involved.

Why your views matter

In preparing the North Lanarkshire Local Development Plan 2, we want to make sure everyone with an interest can get involved.

To help with this, we have prepared a draft Participation Statement which sets out our proposals on who we will engage with, when we will engage and how we plan to do it.

We are now consulting on this statement through an online survey.

What happens next

This survey will close on 13 October 2023. A summary of responses will then be collated and used to inform the final Development Plan Scheme and Participation Statement.
