Want to make a difference to your local environment? Every action counts and the scale does not matter. Below are some suggestions for you to consider.
Ways to benefit yourself and also help our planet:
- Reduce your energy use at home and it will save you money.
- Check out Home Energy Scotland’s website. You may be eligible for assistance for work to reduce your energy costs.
- Reducing your food waste will save you money.
- Think about walking, cycling or wheeling to your destination. Or why not opt to use public transport?
- Shop locally and support the sustainability of your community
- Not vegan or vegetarian? Why not have a plant-based meal night?
- Don’t idle. Switch off your engine when you are not driving.
- Don’t litter. Using public and household bins will ensure rubbish is disposed of correctly.
- Have a board game night with family or friends.
- Get involved in local community action such as litter picks and community gardens.
