For parents/carers of children aged 5 to 10 who attend school in the North Lanarkshire area, the quickest and easiest route with no need to upload documents is by using Parents Portal. A few clicks and you’re done!
Parents/carers may already have signed up to the Parents Portal to access other digital services including online school payments, checking on their attendance, and replying to online permission slips.

You can also apply online at Get Your NEC but you will have to upload appropriate proofs. There is guidance available to help you with the application process.
Other application methods will be supported if there are specific reasons you are not able to apply online either via the Parents Portal or GetYourNEC. If this is the case please email nec@northlan.gov.uk.
