Introduction
Strathclyde Country Park lies within 400 hectares of countryside in the valley of the River Clyde. Set within beautiful surroundings, this free-to-access country park is one of the most popular family attractions in the central belt of Scotland, with thousands of visitors each year enjoying the vast range of activities and events on offer.
Ideally situated, with excellent road and public transport links, the park offers outdoor adventure playgrounds, bicycle hire, watersport activities, family fun-boats, indoor and outdoor cafe and access to toilets within the Watersports Centre.
In partnership with the community we have developed a new gateway to Strathclyde Country Park in Bellshill, this includes the addition of an exciting new BMX pumptrack, mountain bike skills-loop and trails.
Between 2024 and 2027 we will be redeveloping the Waterpsorts Centre as a low-carbon health hub.
As part of a the wider masterplan for the park, we aim to develop an Art Park within Strathclyde Country Park over the next 10 years.
