In partnership with Balmalloch Primary School and the Kilsyth and Villages Food and Financial Insecurity Subgroup, the Community Partnership Team recently planned, delivered and participated in a well‑attended Community Engagement Event held alongside the school’s Parents’ Evening. A total of 270 families attended the Parents’ Evening, providing a strong platform to support the Kilsyth and Villages Local Outcome Improvement Plan priority focused on tackling food and financial insecurity.
Families had the opportunity to connect with a wide range of local support services, including the Community Partnership Team, Cumbernauld and Kilsyth Citizens Advice Bureau, Cumbernauld Poverty Action, One Parent Families Scotland and Carers Together.
As part of the event, the Community Partnership Team engaged directly with 73 families, distributing soup packs, period products through the our Period Dignity initiative and sharing relevant information of the ongoing Local Outcome Improvement Plan Review Consultation.
Overall, families were able to access valuable information and resources relating to the local support available to them.
