Kilsyth and Villages Community Priorities Highlights 26/27

New Notice Boards in and around Kilsyth and Villages

The Community Partnership Team worked in partnership with Kilsyth Community Council to deliver new notice boards in Kilsyth Main Street and Burngreen Park.

How did the project come about?

Due to three notice boards being damaged in the the local area and there being no community notice board in the town centre, Kilsyth Community Council worked in partnership with the Community Partnership Team to deliver two new notice boards in the area through the Local Development Programme. In addition, the Community Council agreed to take responsibility in keeping the information relevant and up to date.

This project linked in with the Kilsyth and Villages Local Outcome Improvement Plan of 'Improving the Environment with a focus on Kilsyth Town Centre' and 'Targeted Action within Identified Communities Across the Board Area'. These notice boards will also help enhance the communication and engagement across the board area.

What were the outcomes?

Local people now have designated signposts where they can find out local information about services and community meetings including meetings of the Kilsyth Community Council and the Kilsyth and Villages Community Boards.
