Further engagement and consultation events took place over the month of May including: engaging with parents and carers at local primary schools at Parents Evenings, discussing local priorities with participants in activity at Viewpark Glen and group discussion sessions with a local community organisation.
At the end of May, officers from the Community Partnership Team were invited along to the Service User Forum held in Bellshill Cultural Centre. We had an opportunity to engage with seldom heard voices and those who had experienced homelessness. We were able to engage with around 50 people and supported them to engage in the community priority survey. We also advised how they can get involved in their local communities, contribute to Local Development Projects (LDP) and how to access free period products
Community voices, local insights and knowledge are vital to ensuring the refreshed Community Priorities (LOIPs) reflect the needs and aspirations of our communities.
The survey gives local people the opportunity to influence what happens in their communities and ensures that future plans reflect what matters most to residents.
