A number of engagement and consultation events took place over the month of April including: a session with young people at Bellshill Cadets, engaging with parents and carers at Sacred Heart Primary school at the Parents Evening and discussing local priorities with members of Burnhead Bowling Club (Viewpark) at their 70th Anniversary celebration. In partnership with our Housing Services, residents in Retirement housing across Bellshill Community Board area also completed the survey.
Engagement and promotion of the Community Survey also took place by visiting a number of local community venues such as sports centres, local community organisations, churches and care homes.
Community voices, local insights and knowledge are vital to ensuring the refreshed Community Priorities (LOIPs) reflect the needs and aspirations of our communities.
The survey gives local people the opportunity to influence what happens in their communities and ensures that future plans reflect what matters most to residents.
