Bellshill Community Priorities Highlights 26/27

Bellshill community events July 2026 - Community Priorities engagement

We attended multiple events within the locality to engage with members of the community regarding the consultation for the new upcoming community priorities. This allowed local people to voice what is important to them in their area

This project contributes to the following priorities: Community Resilience and Participation and Community Safety.

How did the project come about?

As the current Local Outcomes Improvement Plans (LOIPs) are set to conclude in 2027, we have begun the formal review process. Officers have been engaging and consulting with local people to encourage participation in the Community Priorities survey which was launched at the end of March 2026.

What was the outcomes of the project?

As we continue to progress the Local Outcome Improvement Plans (LOIPs) review, we and our partners have been engaging and consulting further with local people to encourage participation in the Community Priorities survey.

A number of engagement and consultation events took place over the month of July involving partners from:

  • local community groups and organisations
  • leisure centres
  • Police Scotland
  • Tesco

Community voices, local insights and knowledge are vital to ensuring the refreshed Community Priorities (LOIPs) reflect the needs and aspirations of our communities.

The survey gives local people the opportunity to influence what happens in their communities and ensures that future plans reflect what matters most to residents.
