Human rights - Easy Read

The British Institute of Human Rights, with Warrington Speak Up and photo symbols, have created some easy read human rights resources in the form of human rights postcards that can be downloaded.

They hope the postcards will help people with learning disabilities understand what rights they have and how their rights work.

The postcards talk about real life stories of when rights have or have not been looked after.

BIHR has a limited number of postcard packs that they can post to people who want to use them. These are free of charge for self-advocates, self-advocacy groups, community and voluntary organisations and individuals supporting people with a learning disability. BIHR charges for postage and packaging to UK addresses only.

They have also made an Easy Read guide to the questions about the Human Rights Act that people ask them the most.
