We can remove a maximum of 10 items or 20 bags of rubbish. A £35 charge is payable when you call to book this service.
Where to leave your items
Items must be left at the nearest point of collection for our vehicle - this is usually at the front of your property, at the nearest point to the pavement. Electrical items will be collected separately, possibly on a different day.
The items will be photographed when the member of staff arrives, then the location photographed again when the items have been removed to confirm the uplift was completed successfully.
When the service operates
This service takes place five days a week, Monday to Friday. We will give you an appointment date when you call to book.
There is a charge of £100 for items associated with home renovations, for example kitchens, bathrooms, building materials, garden materials not suitable for your brown bin, windows and doors.
We will not accept these items:
- car tyres
- car batteries
- gas bottles
- hazardous/special waste
Booking your special uplift
Please call 0345 1430015 to book.
The special uplift charge increased to £35 from 1 April 2020, as part of our 2020/21 budget.
When you call we will let you know your appointment day.
The appointments will be allocated on a zonal basis with all uplifts within a specific area taking place on the same day of the same week. The length of time between the request being placed and the first available appointment will depend on the volume of requests received.
In the event of your uplift not being carried out on the appointment day due to operational difficulties, please call us to re-schedule your visit.
Let us know if you have an issue with your special uplift.
