You can get a copy birth certificate from any registration office in Scotland. We can only issue certificates for births registered in Scotland.

A person who has been adopted in Scotland can only get certificates from:

You do not need to come to the registration office in person to get the certificate.

You can apply:

When you apply you must give the full names of all parties on the certificate along with the date and place of the birth.
