Find the Modern Apprenticeship for you

Horticulture/Cemetery Operations - Modern Apprenticeship

Cemetery Operations are an important part of council services and are key in maintaining and enhancing communities within North Lanarkshire. This apprenticeship is an exciting opportunity to gain practical work experience and knowledge of varied and challenging cemetery duties.

You will learn and develop skills required for this sector utilising both amenity horticulture and grounds maintenance methods. This apprenticeship will appeal if you are interested in carrying out physical tasks and like working outdoors (in all weathers).

You will undertake an initial 4-week Pre-Voc programme after which you will have a second interview and assessment to ensure your suitability in order to continue on to the 12-month Modern Apprenticeship programme where you will undertake the SCQF level 5 in Horticulture.
