Bellshill Community Safety - Off-Road Drone Use

A local project focused on community safety outcome for the residents of Bellshill. Police Scotland, in conjunction with local community groups, have come together to combat the use of off-road vehicles and antisocial behaviour in local parks. 

Community groups advised of the issues of antisocial behaviour caused by the use off-road bike and quad bikes in around Motherwell, Strathclyde park with NLC CCTV and using community intelligence during this period.

Project was to work as a group to help discourage antisocial behaviour and the use of off-road bikes in public parks, utilise community groups quad bikes whilst using Police drone to survey the local park. 

Action plan over one day detected several offences including offences for off-road vehicles and other crimes. Helping to reduce the criminal activity in the area and help to improve community safety for the local park goers.
