Salvation Army - Community Engagement at Christmas
Community Partnership Officers from Bellshill & Motherwell (Community Partnership Team) volunteered with the local branch of the Salvation Army in Bellshill to help staff and other volunteers to sort, pack and organise Christmas gifts that were donated for the 2025 Toy Appeal.
Every year the Salvation Army reach out to the local community, partners and local business to help make Christmas a little more special for those who may have little or nothing under the tree at Christmas.
By participating in this local engagement, council staff and volunteers were able to make use of shared resources, help reach out to those most vulnerable and make a positive difference to the Bellshill and Motherwell communities.
This year’s appeal has so far helped more than 360 children and more than 1800 toys have been distributed.
