Interactive sessions were created at the Immersive Room in Motherwell Library to showcase current Local Outcome Improvement Plan (LOIPs) priorities and what actions/projects have been a focus over the past few years.
The project has a focus on the following priorities: Community Engagement, Tackling Poverty & Mental Health and Inequalities, Community Safety, Environment and Digital Inclusion.
As the Community Priorities consultation was being developed at the beginning of 2026 the Motherwell Community Partnership Officer suggested using the Immersive Room as a way to engage with local people and Council services to promote the consultation from April until end of September 2026.
The creation of Community Priorities Consultation within the Immersive Room in Motherwell Library helps to promote the Local Outcome Improvement Plans (LOIP's) review and provide an in-depth visual experience for the local community and community/voluntary groups.
Videos of community organisations and local people are provided along with TikTok videos of young people. Photographs of various projects and activities are also exhibited to provide an extensive portfolio of current LOIP’s.
The Immersive Room was the location of the launch of the Community Priorities Consultation on 20 March 2026.
Drop in and bookable immersive room sessions were available from April 2026.
People visiting the library and drop-in sessions were invited to pop into the immersive room and undertake the community priorities survey in a welcoming space where they could complete the survey online or on paper and receive support if required with refreshments.
