Muirhouse residents have welcomed the new outdoor gym we built.
The exercise facility, which is free to use, is located next to the MUGA and pitches at Shields Drive.
It includes 11 different pieces of gym equipment including a single air walker, spinning bike, elliptical trainer, hydraulic stepper, chest press, shoulder press and abs bench, and has wetpour surfacing for safer training.
The project was developed in partnership with Motherwell Pheonix Football Club.
“The new outdoor gym is a great addition to the Muirhouse community, allowing residents to exercise and improve their mental and physical health and wellbeing,” said Councillor Geraldine Woods, Convener of the Communities Committee.
Funding of £35,000 came from our Local Development Programme, which is managed by its Community Partnership Team.
