Muirhouse Community Fun Day was held on 7 August 2026 in Isa Money Community Centre to provide information stalls and support for the local community of Muirhouse.
The project has a focus on the following priorities: Community Engagement, Tackling Poverty & Mental Health and Inequalities and Community Safety.
The event was proposed by local group Motherwell Pheonix Football Club and developed in partnership with the Community Partnership Team, lead of Motherwell Community Engagement Subgroup and NHS Health Improvement Team, lead of Motherwell Mental Health and Tackling Poverty & Inequalities Subgroup.
Over 90 people engaged with the event, enjoying free lunch, crafts, games, haircuts, school uniform, period products and information and support from many partners and organisations on the day.
Local groups and partners in attendance were Motherwell Pheonix Football Club, Community Learning & Development, Tenant Participation Team, Girls’ Brigade, 19th Motherwell Boys’ Brigade, St Brendan’s Senior Citizens Monday Club, One Parent Families, Motherwell & Wishaw Citizens Advice Bureau, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Routes to Work, Tackling Poverty Team, New College Lanarkshire, Making Life Easier, Families Here and Now Service, NHS Health Improvement Team, Alcohol & Drug Partnership.
Local people also had the opportunity to engage in the Community Priorities Consultation and view details and photos of the new outdoor gym.
The event was organised by the Motherwell Community Engagement Subgroup and Mental Health & Tackling Poverty Subgroup to celebrate the opening of the new outdoor gym and provide the local community with support and advice.
