We are aware of an issue that is preventing some online forms with maps from being submitted.
We are working to fix this as soon as possible.
We’re inviting you to help shape the future of open spaces across North Lanarkshire. Your feedback is vital in ensuring our parks, play areas, and green spaces meet the needs of our communities - now and in the future.
The Open Space Strategy (OSS) sets out our vision for how open spaces will be protected, enhanced, and developed. It’s based on extensive research, site assessments, and community feedback.
We’ve prepared a range of documents to support this consultation.
Please take a moment to explore them and share your views:
Open Space Strategy Consultation Booklet
A summary of our draft strategy, including key themes, goals, and proposals
Quality Assessment
The criteria used to assess the quality of open spaces across the area
Open Space Survey Report
A summary of what residents have already told us about open spaces
Play Sufficiency Survey Report
Insights from our consultation on play provision and accessibility
Open Space Audit Results
Online map showing results for each site assessed for the Open Space Audit
We want to hear from you! Whether you’re a resident, community group, or local organisation, your views will help shape the final strategy. This survey should take approximately 5 to 10 minutes to complete.
The survey will close on 6 February 2026.
