Community Wellbeing Events - Forgewood
Local community events focusing on the LOIP priorities of Mental Health and Wellbeing, Tackling Poverty and Inequalities
How did it come about
Local consultation highlighted the need for services and projects to be more visible within localities, via community empowerment funding – money made available to host and event in April within Forgewood community centre. From feedback received, a bigger event was requested, through partnership and collaboration planning and coordination took place resulting in a large-scale event 8th May 2025
Outcome
22 services, departments or organisation from across the health and social care partnership (HSCP) including 3rd sector attended to provide information on their area of expertise, how best to access and what to expect in terms of support.
Attendees included individuals from across Motherwell locality including care home residents and their support staff, staff from all areas of the HSCP, volunteers’ and members of local organisations
