Duchess of Hamilton Park – Community Noticeboards
This case study focuses on the installation of three new community noticeboards within Duchess of Hamilton Park in Motherwell, which was completed in June 2025. The aim of the project was to help promote local community activities and events within the Motherwell area.
A proposal was received from a local community representative looking for support to install two new community noticeboards within Duchess of Hamilton Park. The current cabinets had been damaged and required to be replaced.
The Community Partnership Team engaged with a supplier to create heritage style community noticeboards that complimented the park. The park is situated between Crawford Street, Cameron Street and Avon Street in Motherwell. To ensure the noticeboards are seen by as many visitors as possible, three entrance sites were selected each for a noticeboard.
The Health and Wellness Hub in Motherwell are the new key holder for the noticeboards. Local groups and organisations who would like their posters displayed can drop information into The Health and Wellness Hub, Unit 3, 58-60 Albert Street, Motherwell, ML1 1PR or email info@thehealthandwellnesshub.org.uk and they will be happy to assist.
