Challenge Poverty Week: Chryston Hub Cost of Living event
Cost-of-living event held in the Chryston Hub for all families attending Chryston Primary School parents evening.
How did the project come about?
The event coincided with Chryston Primary School parents evening and saw 250 families engaging with it.
As part of the event, there were 8 stalls that were held by partners and community organisations to help to encourage interaction whilst supporting the 250 families that attended the event.
What was the outcome?
The project contributed to the Northern Corridor Community Board Children & Young People and Health Inequalities LOIP priorities and produced several positive outcomes for local families.
In addition to accessing key information and advice from partners, community members of all ages now have improved access to statutory and voluntary sector services and have also increased access to healthier eating opportunities and free period dignity products.
