Northern Corridor Local Outcome Improvement Plan highlights

Glenmanor Primary School Cost of Living Event

Cost-of-living event held in Glenmanor Primary School to support the local community.

How did the project come about?

The event coincided with Glenmanor Primary School parents evening and saw 220 families engaging with it.

As part of the event, there were 8 stalls that were held by partners and community organisations to help to encourage interaction whilst supporting the 220 families that attended the event.

This event allowed Moodiesburn Community Action to share their community consultation questionnaire to local residents.

What was the outcome?

The project contributed to the Northern Corridor Community Board Children & Young People and Health Inequalities LOIP priorities and produced several positive outcomes for local families.

In addition to accessing key information and advice from partners, community members of all ages now have improved access to statutory and voluntary sector services and have also increased access to healthier eating opportunities and free period dignity products.
